The Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards that support outstanding students at the University of Oxford. Established in 1902 in the will of Cecil Rhodes, Rhodes is the oldest and perhaps the most prestigious international scholarship program in the world.

A Rhodes Scholarship covers all college and university fees, a Living Scholarship (£17,310 per year 2021-22); Allowance statement, health insurance, visa, two Economy Class flights -to and from the UK- for Oxford start and finish studies.
The basic duration of the scholarship is two years, always and subject to sufficient academic and personal achievements.
The following eligibility criteria apply to all Rhodes Scholarship applicants:
- Citizenship and Residence: Each applicant must meet the citizenship and residence requirements of the Rhodes constituency for which they are applying.
- Age: You must be at least 18 years of age on or before October 1, 2022 and not yet 25 years of age (i.e. you must have been born on or before October 1, 1997 and October 1, 2004)
October 2022, you must not have reached the age of 27 (i.e.born after 10/01/1995) AND have met or will meet the academic requirements to complete their undergraduate degree on or after 7/1/2021*
- The academic standard must be high enough to guarantee admission to the University of Oxford, which has very competitive admission requirements, and to be confident that Rhodes Scholars will achieve a high academic standard at Oxford. Individual constituencies may specify a first or equivalent. Some constituencies require that a college degree be earned in the constituency of the application.
Applications open June 1, 2022.All candidates for the scholarship should refer to the scholarship information on the country-specific page to read the application criteria, eligibility requirements, and deadline specific to their country. The deadline varies from country to country but falls between July and October 2022.
